In 2020, I was required to created a PR campaign for the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry for my PR Writing course. This allowed me to utilize skills I learned in class while also being able to adapt. We started this course pre-pandemic and was very confident in the project. Once we were sent home and had to meet virtually it became challenging, however we successfully created this PR campaign. Below are bits of the campaign, you can also download the entire campaign if you would like.
The Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry had an upcoming event and needed a news release to be created to publish three weeks prior to the event. I created this news release and had lots of fun with it.
This brochure would replace their current one. Their previous one did not brag about their accomplishments and services enough, so we decided to emphasize that as much as possible,
Covid hit non profit organizations harder than people think. It was hard to ask people to donate and volunteer at a time where people were being laid off and being told to stay inside. I created this blog post to encourage civilians to be 'good samaritans.'
I had fun creating this newsletter because it challenged me to be creative while also ensuring the audience members could read it.
I love creating feature stories because s me to tell a story. In order to perfect this feature story I visited the pantry and high school they served to interview a variety of different people. I enjoyed this story and I hope you do too!
